Fox Run at Orchard Park COVID-19 Updates (Made Every 24-48 Hours)
Important Health Warning (Updated 05/24/20)
Fox Run Health Center is still in “lock down”. Although many area businesses are starting to re-open in phases, Fox Run is still under executive order restricting visitors from entering our Health Center. This also means our residents are still restricted from leaving the Health Center to meet with family and friends. We understand that these restrictions may be difficult as we enter a holiday weekend and as the weather becomes nicer. Please recognize that these protocols are still in place for the safety and well-being of our residents.
As of today, Fox Run has three positive cases of COVID-19 being cared for in our Skilled Nursing unit. Our residents with COVID-19 remain on the same wing and in isolation; precautions and guidelines per DOH. Two dedicated staff members who previously tested positive for COVID-19 are currently quarantined at home for 14 days.
It is with great sadness to report that Fox Run has had a total of two COVID-19 related deaths both from our Skilled Nursing unit. Words fall short of expressing our sorrow to these families and friends while we mourn the loss of our dear community members.
In accordance with Governor Cuomo’s executive order, Fox Run has begun the process of routine testing of all Health Center staff members.
Fox Run along with our Medical Director Dr. Eileen Reilly, are in daily contact with New York State DOH and our local representative from the Erie County DOH, to collaborate and ensure all processes and protocols are strictly followed. We continue to go above and beyond all CDC guidelines. Fox Run staff will continue to have their temperatures taken before all shifts and monitored during their shift. We continue to utilize the same staff on all wings so there is no cross contamination. All staff have the proper PPE (personal protective equipment) needed when caring for our residents and have continual in-service training.
Please continue to visit our website for updates, as well as our Facebook page.

CEO Bill Wlodarczyk Interviewed by WBEN on 03/29/20
From fresh to air to fresh perspectives on air. Fox Run at Orchard Park CEO Bill Wlodarczyk was on a recent episode of A New Morning on WBEN 930AM. On the program, he walked through the steps we’ve taken to minimize the spread of the novel coronavirus throughout our community and keep our staff, friends, family members, and Community Members all safe and healthy.
WIVB and The Buffalo News Features Fox Run Surprise on 03/31/20
Fox Run at Orchard Park Community Member, Mary Catalino, knew she was going outside for some fresh air. What she didn’t know was that she had some surprise visitors outside waiting to say hello (from a safe distance).
Thank You to Our Front Line Heroes
In the fight to protect the Fox Run Community and its most vulnerable Community Members, our front line workers are putting themselves selflessly on the line. Our sincerest “thank you” goes out to our entire team for their incredible efforts and dedication to support our community.
Easter Surprises for Community Members
With the help of Draudt’s Farm Market & Greenhouses, Lockwood’s Greenhouses, the Watermark Wesleyan Church, and the Fox Run Management Team, we were able to provide Easter flower arrangements to all of our Independent Living and Health Center Community Members. A special “thank you” to Ann and Wes Vanderwater—and to all who made this possible!
RVs 4 MDs Comes to Fox Run at Orchard Park
Katie Zoyhofski, one of our healthcare team members at Fox Run at Orchard Park, recently received a heartwarming surprise after her husband, Justin, signed her up for RVs 4 MDs—a program matching RV owners to healthcare workers seeking a space of their own to keep their households safe. Mark Hoskins lives in Binghamton (hours away from our Orchard Park community) and was eager to help. So, he drove his RV all the way to Lake View so Katie could continue keeping our Community Members and her family safe. We thank Katie for her outstanding commitment to our community, her husband Justin for his support, and Mark for going above and beyond to help.
Fox Run Hosts Superhero Parade
To lift the spirits of the Fox Run Community Members missing their loved ones, as well as our hardworking dedicated Health Center team, the Fox Run management team coordinated a campus wide superhero-themed parade.
Many staff members and Fox Run Community Members gathered outside to walk or drive in the socially distanced parade. They were honored to enlist the participation of four members of the Superhero Alliance-SAWNY, adding a ton of excitement and fun to everyone’s experience!
You can join in on our joyful parade day by watching the video below!
We are extremely proud of the entire Fox Run team for coming together so strongly in this thoughtful display of compassion for each other.
